    Best for

Homeowners and landlords tracking property condition

Every appliance and system with its age and install date

What needs attention, before it becomes an emergency

A repair history that survives a move or a manager change

Most homes are run on memory, and memory is optimistic

Ask when the roof went on and you get a range. Ask when the water heater was last serviced and you get a shrug. That is not carelessness, it is what happens when the only record of a house is the recollection of whoever happened to be there. Home Health is the opposite of that: a dated inventory of what the property contains, how old each piece is, and what is coming due. The dashboard shows it as Healthy or Needs Attention, with what is expiring soon and what maintenance is upcoming, so the next problem is one you scheduled instead of one that picked its own moment.

    How it works

    1. 1

      Inventory what is there

Appliances, systems and major components with model, install date and documents. Enter them as you go, or let the app read a receipt or a photo of a label.

    2. 2

      Attach the paperwork

Manuals, receipts, warranty terms and inspection reports live against the item they describe, with the dates that decide whether a claim is still in window.

    3. 3

      Log what happens

Repairs and replacements build a dated history. Over years this becomes the thing that tells you whether a system is due or was handled last spring.

    4. 4

      See what is coming

The dashboard surfaces upcoming maintenance, expiring warranties and the next significant expense, rather than waiting for you to go looking.

    Condition, not just contents

An inventory tells you what you own. Home Health tells you what state it is in. Age against typical service life is the single most useful signal a homeowner has and almost nobody tracks it, because it requires knowing install dates you never wrote down. Habyn keeps those dates against the item, so the question stops being a guess.

    • Appliances and systems with install dates
    • Age measured against typical service life
    • Warranty windows tracked per item
    • Healthy or Needs Attention at a glance
    • Upcoming maintenance surfaced, not searched for

The same record works for a rental

A rental unit has health too, and a landlord has more reason to track it than anyone: condition at turnover, what a contractor did last time, which appliance is about to cost money across a portfolio. The record is per property, so a landlord sees the same structure on every unit rather than a different improvised system per address.

    • Condition tracked per unit across a portfolio
    • Maintenance history tied to the property, not a person
    • Contractor and licence records attached to the work
    • Turnover condition documented
    • One structure across every address

It earns its keep at the worst moment

Warranty claims hinge on a receipt and a date. Insurance claims hinge on proving what was there and what condition it was in. A resale conversation is stronger with a documented upgrade history than with a confident story. Home Health is the record that makes those moments answerable instead of stressful.

    • Receipts and dates ready for a warranty claim
    • Evidence of condition for an insurer
    • A maintenance history a buyer can see
    • Records that survive a move
    • Nothing to reconstruct after the fact

Memory and a drawer vs Habyn

The information exists either way. The difference is whether it is available on the day something breaks, or only after you have already paid for the emergency.

Built in Canada, where the weather tests everything

Freeze-thaw cycles, ice dams, furnaces that run for months without a break: Canadian homes work harder than most, and their systems age accordingly. Habyn is built here, with deep Ontario coverage, and Home Health is free on the Home plan for the property you live in. Our journal goes further on the habits that keep a home documented, from maintenance schedules to catching a warranty before the window closes.

    Frequently asked questions

What counts as a system in Home Health?

Anything with a service life and a cost to replace: furnace, water heater, roof, air conditioning, major appliances, windows. You decide the level of detail. Most people start with the expensive things and fill in the rest as receipts surface.

Do I have to enter install dates I do not know?

No. You can record an approximate age instead, and refine it later when a receipt or an inspection report turns up. An approximate date is far more useful than no date, and the forecast works from whichever you have.

    Is Home Health free?

Yes, for the home you live in. The Home plan covers your own residence with no card and no time limit. You move to a paid plan when you rent a unit out, which we define as publishing a listing or activating a lease.

Does this work across a rental portfolio?

Yes. Condition, maintenance history and contractor records are tracked per property, so a landlord or manager sees the same structure on every unit instead of a different improvised system per address.
